Information we collect
You can browse our website without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. Once you create an account, we require you to provide contact and identity information as indicated on the Create Account form and you are no longer anonymous to us.
We collect and use the following information to provide, improve and protect our Services:
Account. We collect, and associate with your account, information including your name and email address.

Such Content includes any Personal Information or other sensitive information that you choose to include (“passively-collected Personal Information”).

Cookies and other technologies. We use technologies such as cookies to provide, improve, protect and promote our Services. For example, cookies help us remember your username for your next visit, understand how you interact with our Services, and subsequently improve those services based on this information. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services.
How we share your information
We may share information as discussed below, but we won’t sell it to advertisers or other third-parties.
Your use. When you use our Services, the Content you provide will be displayed back to you.
Collaboration. As a natural result of using our Services, you may create Content and grant permission to other UFILO Account Holders to access it for the purposes of collaboration. Our Services display information such as your name and email address to other users in sharing notifications, comments posted in shared Content, in Case-File sharing options, as well as Organization Partners and Facility Branch Members lists.
Law & Order. We may disclose your information to third parties if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with the law; (b) protect any person from death or serious bodily injury; (c) prevent fraud or abuse of UFILO or our users; or (d) protect UFILO’s property rights.
How we protect your information
To provide you with the Services, we may store, process and transmit information in Canada.
The security of your information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information as part of our Services, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
UFILO uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information once we receive it. For example, we continuously and regularly back up your data to help prevent data loss and aid in data recovery. We also guard against common web attack vectors, host data in secure audited data centers, and implement firewalls and access restrictions on our servers to secure our network and better protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission of storage is 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the absolute security of any information you transmit or store in the Services.
